What is SSDI?
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) provides monthly payments to people who cannot work because of a long-term illness or injury. To qualify, they must have worked and paid enough into Social Security in the past.
If approved, these payments can help cover everyday bills. Medicare health coverage may also be available after a waiting period.
